• Geofences: Names, addresses, GPS coordinates, and radius values for locations you create.
• Checklists and items: The names and contents of checklists you create within the app.
• Contact form submissions: Name, email address, subject, and message when you contact us via the website.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location data: GPS coordinates are used locally on your device to trigger geofence events. We do not transmit your real-time location to our servers.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
• Usage data: Anonymous, aggregated analytics on feature usage (e.g., number of geofences created, notification interaction rate) to improve the Service.
• Crash reports: Diagnostic information if the app crashes, to help us fix bugs.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

Memo Push notifications are triggered entirely on-device. Your precise GPS location and the contents of your checklists are never transmitted to our servers during normal operation unless you explicitly sync data to your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Memo Push Service.
• Create and manage your account.
• Synchronise your geofences and checklists across your devices (when signed in).
• Respond to your support requests and contact form submissions.
• Send you service-related communications (e.g., password reset emails).
• Analyse anonymous usage patterns to improve features.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract: Processing necessary to provide the Service you have requested.
• Legitimate interests: Improving the Service, preventing fraud, and maintaining security.

Memo Push is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. Location Permissions

Memo Push requires "Always" location permission on iOS and equivalent background location access on Android to monitor geofences while the app is not in the foreground. This is necessary for the core functionality of the Service. You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device's system settings, but doing so will disable geofence monitoring. We never use location data for advertising purposes.

10. Push Notifications

Geofence-triggered reminders are generated and delivered entirely on your device using the operating system's local notification framework. These notifications do not pass through our servers. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's notification settings.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where transfers occur outside the EEA or UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
